My Business

For my business I worked with Diana Colavecchio at Attorney at law. She responded to my business letter with an email requesting thank you cards and told me the colors she wanted. I started her card with finding a modern design for the background. After I found one I changed the color of the image to an olive green and cream white. Then I chopped the image into three panels to create the background. When that was finished I created a deep purple rectangle to lay over the background and typed the words thank you across it. After I was completely finished I sent her a rough copy to get her opinion on the card. Diana absolutely loved it and it was a pleasure to work with her.

OSPS Part 2

Currently my class is working on the biggest project of the year, the One Stop Prom Shop. This is a trade show where you can find all your prom needs. It has brought the Junior DECA class, Senior DECA class and IMDD class together to create a fantastic event. The Junior DECA class is doing all the management-related things, the Senior DECA class is taking care of all the social media, and my class, IMDD, is working on the entire feel of the One Stop Prom Shop and the assembly that we will be having on February 26th. We are also split into two different groups, the video group and the morph team. The morph team is a group of 12 people that put together and memorized a couple dances from the game Just Dance. The video group is creating two videos to show at the assembly. One is prom-related interviews, and the other is a prom-related animated video. I'm really glad all of the students from each class have come together to work on this project!

One Stop Prom Is Over!

One Stop Prom Shop was a huge success. Now that the event is over it is a bittersweet feeling. I am happy because all the work we did in the past 3 months paid off. I am sad because it was great working with everyone on the biggest project of the year. I also will miss the countless morph dance practices during our class time. The businesses at the OSPS were very pleased with the show we put on. The had many special offers and handed out useful coupons for prom. It was great to interact with these people from local businesses. I am pleased with the turn out of the One Stop Prom Shop and I am proud that I was a part of this terrific event.

Marketing New York City Trip

Recently, the marketing classes at CFHS took a trip to New York City. The trip was so much fun and consisted of many a lot of site seeing. On the first day we arrived in Times Square around 3p.m. and shopped for a couple hours then headed off to Chinatown and Little Italy. We had dinner at a restaurant in Little Italy. Then we went back to the hotel to hangout after a long day. On the second day, we started off with marketing visits. The class was divided into three groups and each group was assigned to a specific business. My group visited JWT and met with a woman named Sara. She showed us around the office and gave us a presentation of what her career consisted of. After the visit we walked through Bryant Park and then went to Rockefeller Center. There we went to the Top of the Rock where you could see all of New York City. Then we all ate dinner at a delicious barbeque restaurant. After dinner we went to see Spiderman on Broadway. On the third day, we went to Carlos Bakery from the hit TV show Cake Boss on TLC. After we filled our stomach with the most delicious pastries, our class we went to the 9/11 memorial. We waited in line for 2 hours and 30 minutes but seeing the site was absolutely breath taking. Then we went on a ferry ride to see the Statue of Liberty since it was closed due to the hurricane. After that we walked on the Brooklyn Bridge and ate dinner in Brooklyn. On our last day, we took a carriage ride through Central Park and then went shopping on Fifth Avenue. I could not of asked for a better trip with my class and I cannot wait to come back to the city.

One Stop Prom Shop Harlem Shake

The Harlem Shake is new video is taking over the web. Our IMDD class and the junior and senior DECA classes came up with a uniqure way to promote the One Stop Prom Shop. We decided to make a Harlem Shake video ourselves including everyone helping with the One Stop Prom Shop. We made the video and released it yesterday. Our Harlem Shake was instantly a hit. We had 898 you tube views and 205 views on the video posted on Facebook. We also put it on our One Stop Prom Shop twitter page and got 45 retweets and 28 favorites on the tweet. I attached the link to the video so you can watch it for yourself. I hope you enjoy it!
